Raiding Resumes!
Congratulations to the raid team who downed Magmaw and Omnotron this week after several weeks of cancelled raids and frustration. Special thanks to Tubman and Talasi for going the extra mile to get us moving again. The Cataclysm has come!!
As of right now, the servers are running the new code and all the amazing features of the latest expansion are live! Cataclysm has unlocked some very nice new guild abilities, so make sure to check your guild tab to make sure you're not missing out on the great new rewards.
On a related note, the promised raid-roster-reset has already occurred. All Adepts and Raiders have been reset to their proper ranks until we re-initiate the raid teams at the end of January. If you notice that your characters are incorrectly ranked or identified, please let one of the Officers know.

SCOURGE THREAT ENDED! ARTHAS SLAIN!!
This historic event marks the first time in guild history that the raid team has completed expansion content during that expansion's lifetime and it shows just how far we've come since we took our first tentative steps into Karazhan. Thank you to everybody who put in so much hard work and CONGRATULATIONS on your hard-earned victory!
While we'll be venturing into Ruby Sanctum now, we'll be continuing to raid Icecrown as our primary focus until everyone interested has had their opportunity to experience the thrill of seeing Arthas die.

World Ends in December!
Blizzard just announced the official release date of the Cataclysm expansion: December 7th, 2010!
This gives us only a few more weeks to kill Arthas prior to the big patch, so we need to step up our game and get him dead this week!

Sindragosa Defeated!
The <Archon> raid team finished out the week with a big win, taking down the Lich King's lieutenant, Sindragosa, for the first time tonight after many, many attempts.
Congratulations to everybody who's worked so hard to bring us to within striking distance of our goal. We'll be extending the raid lockout into this week so that we can work on Icecrown's final challenge: Arthas himself! I can't wait to post the news of his inevitable defeat!

Two big wins this week for <Archon> in ICC
The raid leaders made the command decision to extend our lockout in ICC for another week, and the extra time paid off in spades with our first kills on both the Blood Queen
and Professor Putricide!
For those keeping track at home, this means only two more bosses stand between us and Arthas himself! Congratulations and Thank You to everybody who has put forth the time and effort to get us to where we are today. I'm very excited by our success and can not wait to post the screenshot of our first Lich King kill!

Forums Repaired
This afternoon, we were apparently the victims of an exploit that embedded an iframe containing malicious code into all the forum javascript code. I've just finished going through and eliminating it, so the forums are back online. If you visited this afternoon using IE, however, I strongly suggest running a scan of your PC to make sure you haven't picked up anything. I'm not sure what the payload was, but I'm quite certain it wasn't intended to be helpful.
Thanks very much to those that brought the problem to my attention. If any of you see anything unusual in the future, please feel free to contact me by whatever means necessary so I can get things cleaned up.

Blood Council Defeated!
After Monday night's exceptional performance, we decided to extend this week's raid ID in the hopes of making some additional progress. That gamble paid off with the our first victory over the Blood Council!
Congratulations to the entire raid team on the kill. We'll be continuing on to Blood Queen Lanathel this week and then returning to take care of Putricide.
Onward to the Lich King!!

I'm impressed. Last night in ICC, we matched the success of our best runs in a single evening!
In all our previous attempts, the best we've ever done was 6 bosses down over the course of the week. Last night, we managed that and still had 40 minutes left to take our first peek at the Blood Council. I'm excited by our progress and anticipate being face to face with Arthas himself before the summer's end.
Congratulations to all the raiders on all your hard work thus far.
